I aim to ensure that every tutoring session is delivered in a professional, positive, and secure environment by:

Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
Creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued.
Encouraging students to ask questions and express concerns without fear of judgment.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
As an independent tutor, I recognise my responsibility to safeguard children and young people.
If I become concerned that a child may be at risk of harm or abuse, I will follow appropriate safeguarding procedures and, where necessary, share concerns with the relevant authorities to help protect the child.
The welfare of the child will always come first.
Online Safety
Where tutoring takes place online, I take additional steps to ensure sessions are safe and secure. This includes using trusted online platforms, maintaining professional communication and encouraging parents or carers to remain aware of scheduled lessons.
Working with Parents
I believe that effective communication between tutor, parent and student is key to successful learning. I encourage parents to discuss any concerns they may have and work collaboratively to support their child’s education and well-being.
Confidentiality
Information shared during tutoring is treated confidentially. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where there is a safeguarding concern or where disclosure is required by law to protect a child or another individual.
